Teaser Day and Paperback Update

Happy Teaser Day! ❤️

Rose leaned toward Kara and whispered, careful to keep her voice low enough that none of the others heard, “How did you know that would work?”

Kara smiled, shameless as ever. “I didn’t. I just wanted to kiss you.”

Update:

If you’re one my of paperback readers, they have the paperback up on Amazon, now. ❤️ (It went up yesterday, I think?) They don’t have it linked to the Kindle version yet, so I’ll include both links. ❤️

Powerful vampire, Rose Foster, and her girlfriend, Kara Unnarsdóttir, take refuge in a hidden kingdom of vampires, as war breaks out between vampires and humans. Rose is shocked to find that even though she doesn’t know them, the vampires of this kingdom know her. Not only that, but they’re prepared to follow her into battle. Yet, they refuse to tell her why.

World war rages on in their absence, threatening the extinction of both species. Rose soon realizes that, even though she doesn’t want power, if she wants to prevent genocide, she’ll have to take her place as a Commander of Power.

But when Kara uncovers a terrifying piece of information about Rose, she must decide, once and for all, if her loyalty to the woman she loves is strong enough to withstand even the end of the world. Or if it’s time to do what she does best: betrayal.

AHHHH, it’s (finally) up! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 (Now, pardon me while I go panic and cry for like three years. 😭)

In this final installment of the Creatures of Darkness series, the Eklektos will either save the world or destroy it.

Release Date for THE REIGN OF DARKNESS

The Reign of Darkness, the fourth and final book of the Creatures of Darkness Series, will be released on March 3, 2020! 🧛‍♀️🌈 So…just a little over two weeks from now! 🖤

I’ve been reluctant to post a release date because, between life events and rewrites, it can get really unpredictable. This last year (or so) has been a tough one, and my writing time has been more limited than ever. And on top of that, each time I would get close to finishing, I would decide to rewrite it all over again. 😅

My anxiety is partly to blame for that. This is the final book of the series, after all. I want it to be perfect (or as perfect as possible, anyway). I’ve been dreaming up this book for so long (since I started the series), and I want it to be the satisfying, worthy conclusion that I’ve always hoped it would be. 🖤

Your support of this series—and of Rose and Kara—has meant the world to me, and I will never be able to thank you enough for it. 🖤 But I hope I can at least give you a satisfying conclusion to the series—and one that was worth the wait. 🖤

Two more weeks! 🖤

P.S. — I’m extremely sleep-deprived, so if this sounds a little sappy and rambly, that’s probably why. 😅

Teaser: Battle-Axe

Happy (belated) Thanksgiving to my American readers, and Happy How-Is-It-December-Already to everyone else. 💙 Thanks to the holidays, kids’ birthdays, the flu, and then a bit of a depression spiral, I’m pretty behind on updates, but I’ll try to share one within the next few days. 💙 Until then…teaser! 💙

I hope you enjoy it! And have a wonderful week! 💙

Oh, you know, just your typical bedtime bickering…

…about a battle-axe. 😅

World Mental Health Day

Since it’s World Mental Health Day, I’m sharing this scene from The Assassins of Light again—as a reminder that mental illness doesn’t mean you’re less or weak or any other stigma people have attached to it. It’s okay to not be okay. 💙

If you follow me on social media, you probably know that I struggle a lot with mental illness, too. That’s why it’s so important to me to write characters like Rose, who have PTSD and depression—or other mental illnesses. I want you to know that, even if you feel alone in this, you’re not. 💙 And if you ever need internet hugs, I’m happy to send them. 💙 Love you guys. Take care of yourselves. 💙

Happy International Lesbian Day!

Happy International Lesbian Day from your local, awkward, writing-obsessed lesbian! 😅 I hope you all had a good day! 🏳️‍🌈

And to celebrate, here’s the character aesthetic for our favorite lesbian, seductive, Viking-warrior-vampire: Kara! ❤️ (At least I hope she’s our favorite. That was awfully specific. 😂)
